After being listed with a minimal premium on the stock exchanges, the shares of Swiggy surged up to 15% in the intraday trade on Wednesday. Shares of one of the most awaited initial public offerings (IPO) of the year were listed on the Bombay Stock Exchange (BSE) and National Stock Exchange (NSE). The company's shares were listed on BSE at Rs 412 with a 5.64 per cent premium against the IPO price band of Rs 390. Meanwhile, Swiggy's shares were listed on NSE at Rs 420 with a premium of around 8 per cent. After the listing, the company's shares rose by 15 per cent during the trade and touched an intraday high of Rs 449 per share.

Swiggy IPO's bidding status

Swiggy's IPO was subscribed 3.59 times in three days of the bidding period. According to the data available with NSE, bids were received for 57,53,07,536 shares against the offer of 16,01,09,703 shares in the initial share sale. The qualified institutional buyers (QIBs) segment received 6.02 times subscription, while the retail individual investors (RIIs) quota was subscribed 1.14 times. The non-institutional investors' portion received 41 per cent of subscriptions. Swiggy had raised Rs 5,085 crore from the anchor (large) investors.

Swiggy's IPO was open for investment from November 6 to 8. The price band for the Bengaluru-based company's IPO was fixed at Rs 371-390 per share. The company aims to raise Rs 11,327 crore from the IPO, which includes a fresh issue of shares worth Rs 4,499 crore and an offer for sale (OFS) of Rs 6,828 crore.

Swiggy IPO Details

The initial public offering of Swiggy was a combination of a fresh issue and an offer for sale. The company has issued 11.54 crore shares worth Rs 4,499 crore and an offer for sale worth Rs 6,828.43 core, aggregating 17.51 crore shares. Swiggy had raised Rs 5,085 crore from anchor investors a day before ipo was opened for subscription. The price range for the IPO was set at Rs Rs 371-390, and investors had to buy a lot of 38 shares, which means a minimum investment of Rs 14,820 was required to place s bid.
