Ashes, Australia vs England 5th Test Updates: Mitchell Starc has been an incredible performer for Australia and continued his brilliance during the fifth and final Test against England in the ongoing Ashes 2025-26 series at the iconic Sydney Cricket Ground on Monday.
Starc, who has already set the five-match series on fire with his impactful and match-winning performances, once again struck big in the first innings after England opted to bat first. He dismissed Ben Duckett on the first day and got rid of England captain Ben Stokes once again on the second day of the match. The left-arm pacer removed Stokes for 0, extending his dominance over the star all-rounder.
Stokes, who came out to bat at No. 6 for the visitors in the first innings of the Sydney Test, played 10 balls before edging on to the keeper on the 11th delivery. This was the fifth time in the 2025-26 Ashes that Starc has managed to take Stokes’ wicket. Overall, Starc has dismissed the left-handed batter 14 times in Tests now, which is the most by any bowler.
