England vs Australia Melbourne Boxing Day Test: In a riveting turn of events, England has sprung back to life in the series, clinching a dramatic Test victory in Melbourne – their first on the ground since 2011, beating the hosts by four wickets in the 4th Ashes Test at the Melbourne Cricket Ground on Saturday.

England has finally snapped its 18-Test winless streak in Australia with a thrilling victory in Melbourne. 

The Melbourne Test has kicked off with a bang, unfolding at breakneck speed as the pacers from both teams exploited the conditions on a pitch, yielding a staggering 20 wickets on the opening day.

England chased down a tricky target of 175 in just 32.2 overs, securing a compelling four-wicket triumph. The tourists' aggressive batting display, led by Zak Crawley (37) and Ben Duckett (34).

England opted to bowl first, and their bowlers made the most of the decision, restricting Australia to 152 runs in the first innings. Michael Neser top-scored with 35 runs, while Usman Khawaja (29), Alex Carey (20), Cameron Green (17), Travis Head (12), and Jake Weatherald (10) also contributed. Josh Tongue was England's standout bowler, claiming five wickets, while Gus Atkinson took two wickets.

The England team failed miserably in their first innings, being bowled out for 110 runs in just 29.5 overs. Only three batters managed to reach double figures. Joe Root couldn't even open his account. Harry Brook was the top scorer with 41 runs, while Gus Atkinson contributed 28. Captain Ben Stokes scored 16 runs. For Australia, Michael Neser bagged 4 wickets and Scott Boland scalped 3.

The Australian team failed miserably in their second innings as well, getting bundled for just 132 runs in 34.3 overs. Opening batter Travis Head missed out on a half-century, scoring 46 runs off 67 balls.

Captain Steve Smith contributed 24 runs and Cameron Green added 19. For England, Brydon Carse bagged 4 wickets and captain Ben Stokes claimed 3. This left England needing 175 runs to win in their second innings, which the visitors won by four wickets.
