DC vs LSG IPL 2026: The Indian Premier League might be one of the most exciting T20 tournaments, but even the die-hard fans will agree that it isn't the same anymore. The relationship between the teams and players has become cordial, compared to the on-field clashes that used to occur earlier. Two famous incidents were Kierron Pollard almost throwing his bat at Mitchell Starc, and MS Dhoni trying to confront the on-field umpires. Virat Kohli getting involved in heated exchanges with Gautam Gambhir is another incident. And then Ambati Rayudu also lost his cool for his fellow teammate Harbhajan Singh. These were the good old days.

In 2025, another incident kept fans excited about the ongoing IPL season. In DPL 2025, Digvesh Rathi and Nitish Rana had gotten involved in a heated exchange. Rathi, who was not impressed with Rana's notebook celebration, was seen abusing him during the clash between West Delhi Lionz and South Delhi Superstarz. And now that Lucknow Super Giants will lock horns with Delhi Capitals, the excitement among fans is sky-high for the highly anticipated clash. But the fans would now be left disappointed as Rishabh Pant has reduced the tension between the two.

Both Rathi and Rana are back on speaking terms, as the camera captured them together before the match on Wednesday in Lucknow. Rathi walked away after a short conversation, and Rana patted his shoulder, but Pant knew it was unfinished business. The LSG skipper then urged Rathi to come back and sort his problems with Rana once and for all.

“Tu kaha ja raha hai? Bas ho gaya, (Where are you going? Enough,” Pant was heard as saying in the video. Rana then told Rathi, "In that case, I’ll have to sit with you.”

Kuldeep enters the fray

This situation became so intense that Kuldeep Yadav, who was standing nearby, couldn't help but intervene. After giving Rishabh Pant a warm hug, he said, “Bohut gyaan de diya.” The bromance between Kuldeep and Pant isn't new; whenever both play for India in a Test match, Pant is often heard talking behind the wickets during Kuldeep's over. This was yet another incident highlighting their great bond. Pant then replied, "This is the problem with both.”

Whether Rathi will bowl to Rana during the upcoming match remains to be seen, but the matchup between Kuldeep and Pant is quite compelling. Both Delhi Capitals and Lucknow Super Giants had forgettable outings in IPL 2025, finishing in fifth and seventh place in the points table, and will aim to bounce back this time.
