RCB vs DC WPL 2026 Final: Royal Challengers Bengaluru women chased a mammoth total of 204 runs during the WPL 2026 summit clash against Delhi Capitals. They chased this target with two balls and six wickets remaining. Skipper Smriti Mandhana and star batter Georgia Voll stitched a match-winning partnership of 165 runs and handed DC another heartbreak. During the post-match presentation, Mandhana talked about how they won their second title of this tournament.

She heaped praises on all the members of the team for working really hard. They followed the strategy which Virat Kohli emphasises, and that was staying fit throughout by spending long hours in the gym, as it helped them to become one of the fittest teams. This preparation made all the difference as they reached the summit clash directly after being the table toppers in the group stage.

She also revealed that they had belief in themselves, especially when they were chasing a mammoth target this year. Although they lost just one high-scoring match against the Mumbai Indians, Mandhana revealed that they were confident of doing that on a batting-friendly pitch in Baroda.

“I feel the girls are working extremely hard, and that’s one thing which really shoots up your belief. When you work hard in the gym and put in the hard yards, you have that belief that any score can be chased down, that anything is possible. The whole group is made up of very hardworking girls who have put in the effort. So when that happens, even with 200 on the board, we all felt really confident that we could chase it down. Having said that, what Volly did was really special,” Mandhana told broadcasters during the post-match presentation.

WPL: Mandhana Credits Role Clarity

Mandhana is also RCB's support staff for playing their role brilliantly since the beginning. She also said that they used an analytical strategy and made sure that all the players had clearly defined roles just before this tournament started.

“One thing that has stood out for me is the way the support staff has been around the girls. The role clarity was given very early. Right after the auction, everyone got phone calls explaining what was expected — this is the batting order, these are the phases you’ll bowl in. That really helps. Credit to Malo, Anya, RX sir, and the entire staff. When roles are clear, it becomes much easier for us as players, and for me as a captain, to come in and lead the way,” she concluded.
