Ashes 2025: Legendary England cricketer Stuart Broad was relieved after England finally defeated Australia in the 4th match of the ongoing series for the first time since 2011 at MCG. The host has already won this series 3-0, where Broad was criticized for his pre-series statement, in which he described the host as the worst team since the one against a formidable English team. His statements had gone viral, where his disappointed reaction entertained the Australian fans.
But today he was seen smiling after the visitors won the match by 4 wickets.
“16 painful losses, two draws since the last one. A Test match on these shores. Look what it means to those fans who have flown all the way around the world to see this England team. England win a Test match at the MCG. Think of Ben Stokes, think of Joe Root, players who have been through everything here in Australia throughout their Test match careers. They deserve it. Ben Stokes has been a warrior throughout the whole series. He deserves to win a Test match here," Broad was heard as saying on commentary.

Broad too slammed the pitch at the MCG.
“The amount of movement that this pitch has shown has indicated to me that there is something really wrong. Test match bowlers do not require this level of movement to bowl effectively in a Test match. Good Test match pitches will have good bounce but not excessive sideways movements," he told on Sen Cricket.
But the same pitch that helped them win this match. As far as the pitches of the first three matches are concerned, England's batting weaknesses came to light, but in the 4th Test, their aggressive batting style worked for them.
