England have brought fast bowler Brydon Carse back into the squad for the final two ODIs against India. The England and Wales Cricket Board (ECB) confirmed his return while the first ODI of the three-match series was still being played in Birmingham.
The 30-year-old is back in the national setup after spending several months out with wrist and elbow injuries. Before his recall, Carse played three Vitality Blast matches for Durham, where he picked up four wickets and showed he was ready to return.

When did Brydon Carse last feature for England?
Carse has not played an ODI for England since November 2025, when he faced New Zealand. His last match for the national team came in the New Year's Ashes Test against Australia in Sydney. He had also missed the IPL after hurting his right hand during a net session, although the exact injury was never revealed.
The remaining two ODIs against India will be played in Cardiff on July 16 and at Lord's on July 19. England will hope Carse's return adds extra pace and experience to their bowling attack.
Brydon Carse's ODI Career
Carse made his ODI debut for England in 2021. Since then, he has featured in 30 one-day internationals, taking 34 wickets at an average of 40.44, including one five-wicket haul. He has also scored 264 runs with the bat at an average of 17.60, making useful contributions in the lower order.
