The 2026 IPL has seen some off-field issues come into focus, with reports suggesting that both Punjab Kings (PBKS) and Delhi Capitals (DC) have tightened rules around player behaviour and team discipline.
Dainik Jagran understands that the PBKS has temporarily stopped Arshdeep Singh from making vlogs during the tournament. The same report also mentions another incident involving Yuzvendra Chahal, who was seen smoking and later missed a flight to Dharamshala. He is expected to join the squad later.
Arshdeep Singh is well known for his strong presence on social media. He often shares behind-the-scenes videos and short clips, which are popular among fans. However, PBKS have now reportedly asked him to pause his vlogging for the time being, aiming to keep things more professional in the cash-rich league.

On the other hand, a video recently went viral showing Yuzvendra Chahal allegedly smoking or vaping inside an aircraft, which is not allowed. Reports suggest he is the same player who missed the team flight to Dharamshala.

Meanwhile, Delhi Capitals have also introduced stricter rules around social media. As per the report, while family members of players and staff are allowed to take pictures and videos inside the team hotel, they are not allowed to post anything online until the tournament is over.
These steps come after the BCCI reminded teams about strict guidelines, making it clear that no one should enter a player’s or staff member’s hotel room without proper permission from the team management.
