India and West Indies have been fined for maintaining slow over-rates during the third and final ODI of their series in New Chandigarh on Saturday.
India were fined 20 per cent of their match fee, while West Indies were fined 10 per cent. According to the ICC, India were found to be four overs short of the required over-rate, while West Indies fell two overs behind after time allowances were taken into account.
Captains Accept Charges
Emirates ICC International Panel of Match Referees member Prakash Bhatt imposed the sanctions.

Both captains admitted the offences and accepted the proposed penalties. As a result, there was no need for a formal hearing.
The charges were brought by on-field umpires Jayaraman Madanagopal and Sam Nogajski, third umpire Sharfuddoula Ibne Shahid and fourth umpire Virender Sharma.
West Indies End ODI Series On High
West Indies had already lost the three-match ODI series 2-0 before the final game. However, they ended the ODI leg of their India tour on a high.
Led by captain Shai Hope’s unbeaten 162, West Indies chased down a target of 352 in New Chandigarh to record their highest successful run chase in men’s ODI cricket.
India, West Indies To Play T20I series
The focus will now shift to the five-match T20I series between India and West Indies.
The first T20I will be played on October 6, with both teams looking to start the next leg of the series on a winning note.
