IND vs AUS Highlights, 2nd T20I, Trivandrum Stadium: Bishnoi, Prasidh Restrict Australia At 191 As India Win By 44 Runs To Take 2-0 Lead

Another clinical effort in bowling, batting and fielding takes India to victory by 44 runs. India take a 2-0 lead in the 5-match series.

Arshdeep Singh is in the process of bowling the 19th over. SIX!! Two sixes already by Matthew Wade. AUS need 55 off 6 balls.

Another big wicket. The set Marcus Stoinis departs as Mukesh Kumar gets the big fish. Australia six down now. Captain Matthew Wade needs to do a miracle to get his team through from here. Sean Abbott is the new batter in. AUS six down as they need 87 off 30 balls.

That is a big wicket. Tim David falls in an effort to get a boundary. Matthew Wade is the new batter in. AUS need 97 off 39 balls.

Another brilliant catch!!! This time from Yashasvi Jaiswal to see the back of Steve Smith who was looking to take on Prasidh Krishna. Australia four down! AUS 58/4 (7.4)

Spinners are ruling the roast here in Trivandrum. Third wicket goes down in the powerplay as Glenn Maxwell falls cheaply. Marcus Stoinis is the new batter in.

Josh Inglis, who was the centurion in the 1st innings, departs cheaply. Ravi Bishnoi gets another wicket in the powerplay. AUS 39/2 (4.2)

OUT!!! Matthew Short departs after a good start. Ravi Bishnoi gets the better of him in the same manner as he did in the 1st T20I.

Courtesy of some brilliant knocks from Yashasvi Jaiswal, Rinku Singh, Ishan Kishan and Ruturaj Gaikwad, India have reached 235/4 at the end of 20 overs.

Gigantic 95m! six towards the sight screen. FOUR!!! Excellent from Ishan Kishan as he finally finds his feet in the innings.

This is a poor approach from both Ishan Kishan and Ruturaj Gaikwad. Multiple Singles with no boundaries won't take you anywhere in a T20I match. If you are unable to hit a boundary, make way for another batter. Five singles from Zampa's over.

After a blitz in the powerplay by Yashasvi Jaiswal, Indian batters Ruturaj Gaikwad and Ishan Kishan are looking to keep the run-rate around 11.5.

With three boundaries and two sixes off Sean Abbott's over, Yashasvi Jaiswal has announced himself in the T20s. IND 61/0 (4.4)

There is a hint of swing for Marcus Stoinis in the first over. However, Ruturaj Gaikwad played him well. Nathan Ellis has been brought in the second over.

We were also looking to chase looking at the amount of dew that was there last night. It'll be a new challenge for us, to go out there and put a score and then defend it. The last game gave us a lot of confidence, the boys were great, we will carry the same momentum. Captaincy is a new challenge and responsibility, I'm enjoying it. We're going in with the same team.

We're going to bowl. Hopefully the dew comes in later, the wicket should be alright. You have a look at the numbers, once you're here, you look at the wicket and have a word with the curator. We played really well the other day, India just played a little better. It's just about tidying up a few things. Adam Zampa comes in for Behrendorff and Maxwell comes in for Aaron Hardie.

Australia won the toss and elected to bowl first.

The sun was out in the afternoon. However, there are some clouds in the sky as we move towards the sun-set.

The match was closely contested, and Australia aims to level the series in Thiruvananthapuram. The second T20I promises an exciting encounter, with both teams looking to make their mark in this southern cricketing destination.

Australia, despite a narrow two-wicket defeat, showcased standout performances from Josh Inglis, who scored a rapid century, and Jason Behrendorff, whose frugal bowling spell utilized slower deliveries effectively.

However, the team needs to address issues related to running between the wickets, as the first match witnessed three run-outs, a joint-most for India in the T20I format.

However, India, coming off a remarkable victory in the first T20I, carries confidence despite a relatively inexperienced squad. Noteworthy performances, including Mukesh Kumar's death bowling and Rinku Singh's finishing skills, contributed to India's successful run chase.

Thiruvananthapuram presents a new challenge for both teams, requiring adjustments to the conditions. The pitch is expected to be slower, with lower bounce and hotter sun compared to Visakhapatnam.

The Greenfield International Stadium, making its international cricket debut in 2017, has earned praise for its outfield, crowd atmosphere, and overall facilities.

As the T20I series between India and Australia moves to Thiruvananthapuram, the cricketing action shifts to the southernmost reaches of international cricket venues in India.

Hello and welcome to the live cricket coverage of match no.2 of the 5-match T20I series between India and Australia here at the Greenfield stadium in Thiruvananthapuram.
