England produced a commanding all-round performance to beat India by nine wickets in the fourth T20I at the County Ground in Bristol on Thursday, sealing the five-match series with an unassailable 3-0 lead. It is England's first-ever bilateral T20I series victory over India.

Captain Harry Brook and Phil Salt starred with the bat, sharing an unbeaten century partnership to chase down India's target of 159 in just 13.5 overs. Brook remained unbeaten on 79 from only 35 balls, while Salt finished on 59 not out from 42 deliveries as England completed one of their most convincing wins over India in the format.

India struck early when Arshdeep Singh dismissed Jos Buttler in the third over, raising hopes of putting pressure on the hosts. But those hopes quickly disappeared as Brook and Salt took complete control of the chase. The pair attacked from the start, punished every loose delivery and never allowed India's bowlers to settle. Their unbeaten stand guided England to victory with more than six overs to spare.

Indian batters flop show in 4th T20I

Earlier, India were restricted to 158 for 7 despite a fighting unbeaten 80 from captain Shreyas Iyer.

Batting on a lively pitch that troubled most of the Indian batters, Iyer stood firm while wickets kept falling around him. His 49-ball innings included four boundaries and five sixes and was the main reason India managed to post a competitive total.

India's innings got off to another disappointing start. Young opener Vaibhav Sooryavanshi was dismissed for 15 by Jofra Archer, who troubled him with extra pace and bounce for the second match in a row. Ishan Kishan also failed to get going, scoring only four before Josh Tongue removed him inside the powerplay.

Abhishek Sharma looked comfortable during his brief stay but was dismissed for 16 when Adil Rashid produced an excellent return catch, leaving India struggling at 48 for 3.

With the top order back in the pavilion, Iyer took charge of the innings. He found support from Shivam Dube, and together they added 53 runs to steady India after the early setbacks.

While Dube made 22 from 23 balls, he found it difficult to score freely before holing out to long-off off Will Jacks. Tilak Varma could not make an impact either, falling for 11 soon after.

Iyer continued to hold one end together and shifted gears in the closing stages. He took on Adil Rashid in the 18th over, smashing two sixes and a boundary to collect 20 runs and give India's total a much-needed boost.

England, however, finished strongly with the ball. Sam Curran bowled an economical penultimate over before Jofra Archer wrapped up the innings with two wickets in the final over, including the run-out of Axar Patel. Archer finished with figures of 2 for 20, while Tongue also claimed two wickets.

In reply, England made the chase look effortless. Brook was aggressive from the outset, timing the ball beautifully all around the ground, while Salt played the perfect supporting role before accelerating when required.
