IND vs NZ: India's star batters Virat Kohli and Rohit Sharma were last seen in action in the three-match ODI series against New Zealand. The host lost the series by 2-1, but fans were compensated with Virat Kohli's sublime form.
Kohli has been in brilliant form in the 50-over format lately. He has been scoring runs consistently, as this is the only format he is playing for India now. During the last seven ODI matches, he had smashed six half-centuries and three tons.
But Rohit Sharma's form dipped low as he didn't smash a single half-century in this series. He was in sublime form in the ODI series against Australia and then smashed four fifties after playing in six matches. He had also scored 155 runs in the Vijay Hazare Trophy, but has failed to fire with the bat after that.
He had scored 61 runs in the three-match ODI series against New Zealand. He got starts but failed to convert them.
Here is when Kohli and Rohit will be playing for India next
Both Kohli and Rohit will next play for India in July this year as India will lock horns with England for a white-ball series. Since they now play in the 50-over format, they will not participate in the T20 series against the Kiwis or the T20 World Cup, which the host will aim to defend.
Both of them announced their retirement from the shortest format after winning the 2024 T20 World Cup, and they also retired from Test cricket last year.
Regarding India's white-ball series against England, India will play a five-match T20I series and a three-match ODI series in July this year. The T20Is series will be held from July 1, 4, 7, 9, and 11, and after that, the ODI series will be held from July 14, 16, and 19. So both Kohli and Rohit will next play for India in July in the first ODI against England in Birmingham.
