West Indies batters John Campbell, Shai Hope and Amir Jangoo made history in the second ODI against India at the Barsapara Cricket Stadium in Guwahati on Wednesday. All three scored centuries in the same innings, a first for the Caribbean side in ODI cricket.
Campbell scored 101 off 68 balls, while Hope made 104 from 94 deliveries. Jangoo then added a quick 114 off just 77 balls to complete a historic day for West Indies.
It was the first time in West Indies’ ODI history that three batters had scored centuries in the same innings. The Caribbean side had never before seen three centurions in a single 50-over innings.

Three Centuries In An ODI Innings
The feat has now been achieved only six times in ODI history. Before West Indies’ remarkable effort against India, the previous five instances were:

West Indies became the latest team to join this exclusive list, with Campbell, Hope and Jangoo all reaching three figures in the same innings.

Campbell, Jangoo Join Record List
Campbell also created another record during his century. His hundred came off just 65 balls, making it the fastest ODI century by a West Indies batter against India.
Jangoo was not far behind, reaching his century from 70 balls. The two batters now occupy the top two spots on the list of the fastest ODI hundreds by West Indies batters against India.
