IND-W vs SL-W 4th T20I: The hosts have defeated Sri Lanka by 30 runs on Sunday and are leading the series by 4-0. Chasing 222 runs, Sri Lanka were restrcited to 191/6 despite a fighting fifty from Chamari Athapaththu. Earlier, riding on half-centuries from Shafali Verma and Smriti Mandhana, India put on 221/2 in 20 overs.
While batting first, openers Shafali (79) and Mandhana (80) had built a partnership of 162 runs and helped the team post a mammoth target of 221 runs and this was their highest partnership and took the Sri Lankan bowlers to the cleaners. Shafali smashed her third fifty of this sseries.
The Indian bowlers then skittled the visitors out for 191/6. Skipper Chamari Athapaththu was their highest run-scorer as she has scored 52 off 37 balls whereas Hasini Perera scored 33.
India's Arundhati Reddy and Vaishnavi Sharma took two wickets apiece.
The 162-run partnership between y Mandhana and Shafali is their opening partnership in this format and broke their own 143-run partnership against West Indies in.
Shafali had smashed 12 fours in her knock of 75 runs and had smashed one six, whereas Mandhana had smashed 11 fours and three sixes.
