IPL 2026: Just one day after Devajit Saikia, the BCCI secretary, revealed that the schedule of the first 20 matches of IPL 2026 will be announced soon, India's star cricketer Virat Kohli took to Instagram. He currently lives in London. Kohli shared a video of himself preparing for the upcoming IPL season. He plays for the Royal Challengers Bengaluru in the cash-rich league. The reel he posted was captioned "IPL 2026."

The video went viral on social media. In the clip, he is seen practising batting at Lord's Cricket Ground in London.

Kohli last played in January this year. This was during a bilateral series against New Zealand. He will be the player to watch for RCB in IPL 2026. They will try to become the third team to defend their title, joining Chennai Super Kings and Mumbai Indians.

He holds the record for most runs in IPL history. He was also RCB's top scorer last year. The new IPL season begins in three weeks. Expectations are high for Kohli, who is already preparing.

RCB to play 5 matches at Chinnaswamy

During the upcoming season, the Rajat Patidar-led side will play five matches at their home ground, M Chinnaswamy Stadium. They will also play two matches at the Shaheed Narayan Singh International Cricket Stadium in Raipur.

Chinnaswamy Stadium has long been their home ground and is one of the country's best cricket venues. Last year, a deadly incident occurred there when 11 people died, and many were injured in a stampede outside the venue. This was during RCB's celebration for winning their first title.

RCB vs CSK in IPL opener

According to Cricbuzz, defending champions RCB will play Chennai Super Kings in the tournament opener at M Chinnaswamy Stadium. The second qualifier and the final of the upcoming season will also be held at the same venue.
