MI vs RR IPL 2026: Mumbai Indians star pacer Jasprit Bumrah sits out the playing XI for their last group stage match against the Rajasthan Royals. As MI captain, Hardik Pandya grants Bumrah the much-needed rest in the ongoing match in Mumbai on Sunday. "Jassi is resting, and Deepak Chahar comes in," Hardik Pandya announces at the toss after winning and electing to bowl first.

Bumrah, who dominates the franchise's wicket-getter charts in tournament history, struggles this year. He represents the former champions in 13 matches and seizes only four wickets.

Shardul Thakur replaces him in the playing XI. He faced exclusion during their match against the Kolkata Knight Riders earlier this week, even though he clinched a four-fer in their clash against the Shreyas Iyer-led side in Dharamshala.

The Riyan Parag-led side makes a few changes to its playing XI. Riyan himself returns to the squad to lead from the front. Alongside him, Ravindra Jadeja and Nandre Burger come back for their must-win match, replacing Lhuan-de Pretorious, Sushant Mishra, and Sandeep Sharma.
