India batter Jemimah Rodrigues has been ruled out of the rest of The Hundred after suffering a hamstring injury while playing for Southern Brave.

The injury has also raised concerns over her availability for the upcoming Women’s T20 Asia Cup, which begins on August 28.

Southern Brave confirmed on Saturday that Rodrigues will miss the remainder of the tournament. Australian all-rounder Charlie Knott has been brought in as her replacement.

The 25-year-old Rodrigues had a good run with the Brave before the injury. She scored 143 runs in six innings, including an unbeaten 42. She finished with an average of 35.75 and a strike rate of 131.19.

India are due to begin their Asia Cup campaign against Thailand on August 30. They will then face Hong Kong on September 3 before taking on Pakistan in a much-anticipated group match on September 5.

With the tournament less than three weeks away, Rodrigues will now have limited time to recover and prove her fitness.

India in Group A

The 2026 Women’s Asia Cup will be the sixth edition of the tournament to be played in the T20 format. Eight teams have been divided into two groups.

India, Pakistan, Thailand, Hong Kong and China are in Group A. Group B includes defending champions Sri Lanka, Bangladesh, the UAE and Indonesia.

The top two teams from each group will qualify for the semi-finals. The last-four matches are scheduled for September 10 and 11, while the final will be played on September 13.

All matches will take place under lights at the Dubai International Cricket Stadium.

India are the most successful team in Women’s Asia Cup history, having won the title seven times. They finished runners-up in the previous edition.

Pakistan are still waiting for their first Asia Cup title, while Bangladesh are the only other team to have won the tournament, claiming the trophy once.

The tournament will start on August 28, with Thailand facing Hong Kong. The competition will continue for more than two weeks before the new champions are crowned on September 13.
