T20 World Cup: Former Pakistan fast bowler Mohammad Amir launched a scathing tirade on the Pakistan national cricket team after the Salman Agha-led side failed to reach the T20 World Cup semi-finals, stating that the team lack talent in the squad at present.

Amir highlighted that the heavyweights like England, Australia and New Zealand don’t even take Pakistan seriously now, pointing out that the dominant nations field their ‘B’ team against Men in Green.

“Let me tell you my honest opinion. Forget about the rest. I myself am saying that we don't have talent. Jo abhi khel rahe hai, vo (talent) nahi hai," he said on Haarna Mana Hai show.

“You can see when any team travels to Pakistan to play a home series against us, they don't send their A-team. You can see how seriously they take us. If they feel that, yes, this is a team, then they send their A-team. They send their A-team for all their debuts. If New Zealand is going to India, the whole team will go. If England is going, the whole team will go. If Australia is going, the whole team will go. Similarly, if they come, they send their A-team. Yes. So, it shows how serious they take us," he added.

The former pacer found himself at the centre of social media criticism after his blunt prophecy on India backfired. Amir had stated that India would not reach the semis, but the Suryakumar Yadav-led side waved its magic and sealed a place in the final four, beating West Indies by 5 wickets at Eden Gardens in Kolkata on Sunday.

Amir Makes Prophecy On India Again

As the hosts are gearing up to take on England in the semi-final on Thursday at Wankhede Stadium, Amir has reignited the debate with another blunt statement, claiming that India still won’t make the final.

"India complete cricket nahi khel rha. India final nahi kehelega ]India are not playing complete cricket. India will not play the final," Amir said.

"My semifinal analysis was correct, but Sanju Samson played really good cricket. Still, I feel India is not playing complete cricket yet; apart from Jasprit Bumrah, not a single bowler is in form. Just look at their batting; in almost every match, they keep suffering collapses. The semifinal against England will be a good contest, but I am sure India will not play the final,” he added.
