Mumbai Indians (MI) will head into the Women’s Premier League (WPL) 2027 auction with a purse of Rs 90 lakh and six slots to fill. With no overseas slots available, the two-time champions will have to focus entirely on Indian players to complete their squad.

MI, who are captained by Harmanpreet Kaur, will be looking to bolster their team while being within their budget. The franchise has managed to keep hold of some experienced international players and a few Indian cricketers and therefore possesses a strong core going into the new season.

The TATA WPL 2027 auction will take place in Kochi on Wednesday, October 28, starting at 5:30 PM. A total of 146 players are part of the auction pool, with 27 slots available across the five franchises.

Mumbai Indians have six places to fill with Rs 90 lakh remaining in their purse. Since all six slots are reserved for Indian players, the franchise will need to take a close look at domestic talent who can strengthen the squad without putting pressure on its limited budget.

The team could look to improve its batting depth and add more options in the spin-bowling department. Wicketkeeping cover may also be an area to consider as Mumbai finalise their squad.

The list of players bought by Mumbai Indians, along with their base prices and final auction prices, will be updated as the bidding progresses.
