India’s G Kamalini and Kiran Navgire, along with Australia’s Heather Graham and Jess Jonassen, have set their base prices at Rs 40 lakh.

20 Slots Available For Indian Players

Of the 27 slots up for grabs, 20 are reserved for Indian players, while franchises can sign up to seven overseas cricketers.

With a limited number of spots available, teams will need to identify their key requirements before making their bids. The auction will give them an opportunity to address gaps in their squads ahead of the 2027 WPL season.

Mumbai Indians Acquire Tara Norris From UP Warriorz

Ahead of the auction, Mumbai Indians completed a trade with UP Warriorz to bring USA left-arm pacer Tara Norris into their squad for her base price of Rs 10 lakh.

Norris previously played for Delhi Capitals in the inaugural WPL season in 2023. She made headlines that year by becoming the first bowler to take a five-wicket haul in the tournament.

The left-arm seamer finished with figures of 5/29 against Royal Challengers Bengaluru at the Brabourne Stadium. Her victims included Australia’s Ellyse Perry, England’s Heather Knight and India’s Richa Ghosh.

With 146 players in the auction pool and only 27 slots to fill, franchises will have little room for error as they prepare for the next edition of the WPL.
