PAK vs BAN Highlights, Asia Cup 2025: Pakistan Beat Bangladesh By 11 Runs To Set Up Final With India

Pakistan beat Bangladesh by 11 runs in a low-scoring thriller.

Bangladesh need 33 off the final two overs. Pakistan need just 1 wicket to win the match. If Pakistan win this, it will be the first ever Asia Cup final between them and India in tournament's history.

Saim Ayub picks up his second wicket as Jaker Ali gifts his wicket away. This was a bad shot but with the required run-rate climbing above 10 an over, he needed to try something here.

Shamim just get the umpires call on his side as he evades his dismissal by a whisker. Mohammed Nawaz is into his second over and is bowling nicely.

Bangladesh are trying to fight fire with fire but this stratergy won't work for long considering Pakistan going for the kill initially. What they need is a partnership which can bail them out of this situation first.

Haris Rauf almost got the big wicket of Saif Hassan. But he survives. OUT! Shaheen picks up his second wicket. Hridoy, another set batter is back in the hut.

Shaheen Shah Afridi to bowl the first over. Saif Hassan and Pervaiz Hussain Emon are in the middle to take the strike in pursuit of 136.

Bangladesh's bowlers delivered a fiery performance, restricting Pakistan to 135/8 in their Super Four knockout match in the ongoing Asia Cup 2025 Super Four match.

Bangladesh's keeper-captain Jaker Ali took a stunning catch to dismiss Shaheen Afridi, who tried to hit big but mistimed the shot off Taskin Ahmed.

Mustafizur Rahman dismisses Pakistan captain Salman Agha for 19 runs off 23 balls. With this wicket, Pakistan is in a tricky spot and has promoted Shaheen Afridi to boost their innings. PAK 49/5 in 10.5 ov.

Rishad Hossain keeps his good form going, claiming his second wicket of the match by dismissing Hussain Talat for 3 runs off 7 balls.

Pakistan opener Saim Ayub was removed for his fourth duck of the tournament, hitting a catch straight to mid-on off Mahedi Hasan. PAK 5/2 in 1.4 ov.

WICKET!!! Taskin Ahmed induced Sahibzada Farhan to hit a catch straight to Rishad Hossain. Bangladesh made inroads into Pakistan's batting lineup by dismissing the in-form Sahibzada Farhan in a crucial Asia Cup 2025 match.

Pakistan's opening batters, Fakhar Zaman and Sahibzada Farhan, will look to provide a solid start against Bangladesh.

"We wanted to bat first, so it's okay. Looks a good pitch. Scoreboard pressure is the key. We have defended well after scoring 150-plus. Beating SL was always great. We want to play good cricket and execute our plans. It's always important playing any final. We want to focus on this game, want to win this game. We want to play good cricket. We are playing with the same side," Salman Agha said.

"We would like to bowl first, looks a pretty dry wicket. We have been doing well while bowling first, so we are going with that strategy. As a bowling unit we have been doing well. We have to bat really well in this match. Before the tournament, we had just decided we’d go out and play for the championship, and we’ll carry the same mindset in this match. We have three changes. Saifuddin, Nasum and Tamim are not playing. Nurul, Taskin and Mahedi are in," Jaker Ali said.

Bangladesh (Playing XI): Saif Hassan, Parvez Hossain Emon, Towhid Hridoy, Shamim Hossain, Jaker Ali(w/c), Nurul Hasan, Mahedi Hasan, Rishad Hossain, Taskin Ahmed, Tanzim Hasan Sakib, Mustafizur Rahman.

Bangladesh stand-in captain Jaker Ali won the toss and opted to bowl against Pakistan in their Asia Cup 2025 Super Four match.

The Dubai International Cricket Stadium pitch has played slowly and sluggishly in matches so far. Given these conditions, the team winning the toss is likely to opt to field first, as batting in the opening innings has been challenging on this pitch.

Saif Hassan, Tanzid Hasan Tamim, Parvez Hossain Emon, Towhid Hridoy, Shamim Hossain, Jaker Ali (C & WK), Mohammad Saifuddin, Rishad Hossain, Tanzim Hasan Sakib, Nasum Ahmed, Mustafizur Rahman.

Saim Ayub, Sahibzada Farhan, Fakhar Zaman, Salman Agha (C), Hussain Talat, Mohammad Haris (WK), Mohammad Nawaz, Faheem Ashraf, Shaheen Afridi, Haris Rauf, Abrar Ahmed.
