Rajasthan Royals (RR) captain Riyan Parag indirectly pointed towards Ravindra Jadeja and Shimron Hetmyer after the team’s five-wicket loss to Sunrisers Hyderabad (SRH) at the Sawai Mansingh Stadium in Jaipur. Despite scoring 228 runs, RR couldn’t defend the total. Parag said the team did well in most areas but missed key chances in the field.
How RR's misfield cost them the match?
RR’s fielding was below standard during the match. Travis Head was dropped early by Dhruv Jurel, although he didn’t make much of it and was dismissed for just six runs. However, Abhishek Sharma got two lifelines on 4 and 30, thanks to Shimron Hetmyer and Ravindra Jadeja dropping catches, respectively.

Riyan Parag on Abhishek Sharma's catch
After the defeat, Parag admitted that the team cannot afford to drop chances, especially against players like Abhishek Sharma. He said they need to be sharper and more consistent in the field.
How Abhishek Sharma and Ishan Kishan shifted the momentum of the game
Despite early wicket, SRH scored 89 runs in the power play, putting RR under pressure. Ishan and Abhishek stitched a big partnership of 132 runs, with both players reaching their fifties quickly. Abhishek made 57 off 29 balls before getting out.
Ishan continued his hard hitting despite Abhishek's wicket and kept SRH in control. He scored 74 runs from just 31 balls. After Ishan's wicket, Heinrich Klaasen and Nitish Kumar Reddy played sensibly and kept the chase on track. Nitish scored 36 off 18 balls, while Klaasen made 29. Salil Arora finished the match in style with a six as SRH reached the target with nine balls left.
