Chennai Super Kings (CSK) wicketkeeper-batter Sanju Samson played a superb unbeaten knock, scoring a century in their Indian Premier League 2026 match against Mumbai Indians (MI) at the Wankhede Stadium.
In his first season with CSK, Samson looked in complete control. He reached his hundred with a boundary and got there in just 54 balls. His innings was filled with quality shots, including 10 fours and 6 sixes.

This was his second century of the current season and the fifth of his IPL career. With this knock, Samson went past Shubman Gill to move up to fifth place on the list of players with the most IPL centuries.

Sanju Samson has now become only the ninth batter in the history of the Indian Premier League to score more than one century in a single season.
The Kerala-born batter has joined an elite group of players that includes big names like Virat Kohli and Chris Gayle, who have also achieved this rare feat.
He has also created a record for Chennai Super Kings by becoming the first Indian player from the franchise to score multiple centuries in one IPL season.

After being asked to bat, Sanju Samson produced a brilliant knock, scoring an unbeaten century to guide Chennai Super Kings to 207 for 6 against Mumbai Indians in their clash between the two five-time champions.
Opening the innings, Samson stayed at the crease till the end. He held the innings together while wickets kept falling from the other side, making sure CSK reached a strong total.
