India captain Shreyas Iyer continued his remarkable run at the toss after winning it in the fourth T20I against England and choosing to bat first. In doing so, he went past Rohit Sharma for the most consecutive toss wins by an Indian captain in T20Is.
The toss at County Ground, Bristol was Iyer's sixth straight win as captain. Rohit had previously won five tosses in a row between February 2020 and February 2022.
Iyer Equals Virat Kohli's record
Iyer has now equalled Virat Kohli, who also won six consecutive tosses during his stint as T20I captain between August and December 2019. The only Indian captain ahead of him on the list is the legendary MS Dhoni, who won seven successive tosses between May 2010 and February 2012.
Iyer, who took over the T20I captaincy from Suryakumar Yadav, has enjoyed a perfect record at the toss so far. He won both tosses during India's two-match T20I series against Ireland and has now made it four in four against England, taking his streak to six consecutive toss wins.

After opting to bat, skipper Shreyas Iyer revealed that India are featuring with two changes as Harshit Rana and Varun Chakravarthy are ruled out due to injury, and Washington Sundar, Prasidh Krishna have replaced them.
