India’s T20 captain Suryakumar Yadav and his wife Devisha Shetty welcomed a baby girl on Thursday. However, there is still a threat looming over Suryakumar Yadav's participation for the Mumbai Indians (MI) for their upcoming Indian Premier League (IPL) 2026 clash against the Royal Challengers Bengaluru (RCB), which will take place in Raipur on Sunday. TOI reported that the couple is blessed with a baby girl.
Five-time champions MI are going through a lean patch in the Indian Premier League 2026. The Mumbai-based franchise are currently placed ninth on the table with just six points from 10 matches. The chances of MI's qualifying for the playoffs are very low.

However, he is struggling to score runs in the Indian Premier League (IPL) 2026. He managed to score 195 runs in 10 matches at an average of 19.50 and a strike rate of 145.52. The team’s captain Hardik Pandya has also missed a couple of games this season due to health issues. His availability for the important match against RCB at Raipur’s Shaheed Veer Narayan Singh International Cricket Stadium is still uncertain.
