T20 World Cup 2026, 9 Days To Go: The T20 World Cup is all set to start on February 7, with India aiming to come up with another dominating effort to defend their title at home. The tournament will be played in India and Sri Lanka, with the final scheduled to take place on March 8.
The tournament has witnessed huge chaos in the build-up with Bangladesh getting replaced by Scotland after the ICC turned down BCB's request to shift their matches from India to Sri Lanka, citing security reasons. Expressing their solidarity with Bangladesh, Pakistan also hinted at a possible boycott of the tournament as the PCB chief said that the final decision on their participation will be taken by their government.
India will kick off their T20 WC campaign with the opening game against the USA on February 7, whereas their much-awaited clash against the arch-rivals Pakistan is scheduled to take place in Colombo on February 15. Notably, Pakistan will be playing all of their matches in Colombo. Meanwhile, several reports have claimed that the PCB has given it a thought about boycotting the match against India amid their ongoing stand-off against the ICC and the BCCI.
