IPL 2026: Vaibhav Sooryavanshi might be an explosive batter on the ground. He has maintained his dominance well beyond the years. Yet off the ground, he still shows the innocence of a 15-year-old boy. This was evident in a video shared by the Rajasthan Royals on their official social media account.

In the video, two children were seen asking for a photo with Sooryavanshi. The RR players waited for their flight at the airport. They would be heading to Chandigarh for their next IPL 2026 match against the Shreyas Iyer-led side. The match will be held on Tuesday.

One fan requested a picture with Sooryavanshi. The young opener replied he wouldn’t do it for free: “Brother, I take money. I’m telling you honestly right now, brother. I’ll take ₹100.” Both fans were stunned.

The fans handed him Rs 200 so that both could have their pictures taken with Sooryavanshi. After accepting the money, Sooryavanshi revealed he was only joking and showed them the camera, confirming he would take the photos. He then posed for pictures with both fans.

A season to remember for Sooryavanshi

The young RR opener has been in sublime form this season. It includes his second IPL century. He had smashed a hundred off just 36 balls. This was the third fastest in IPL history. He had smashed it against Sunrisers Hyderabad in their backyard. It's the same stadium where he hit his first century last year against the Shubman Gill-led side. That was a 35-ball hundred.

SRH skipper Pat Cummins had heaped praises on Sooryavanshi for this knock.

“I think he’s my new favorite player. He hits the ball so hard, it’s great to watch. It’s good fun,” Pat Cummins had told broadcasters during the post-match presentation.

"You have to be right on the money as a bowler. If you are not, it’s going a long way. It’s impressive. He has had a great start to his career. I like the way he plays. He takes the game on," he added.

Sooryavanshi scored 357 runs in eight matches, averaging 46.83 with a strike rate of 237.84. He hit 31 fours, 32 sixes, and two fifties.

He ranks second in the orange cap list, just behind Abhishek Sharma, who has scored 380 runs in eight matches, including a hundred and three half-centuries.
