Virat Kohli and his wife, Anushka Sharma, have visited Vrindavan several times and met spiritual leader Premanand Maharaj on multiple occasions. The couple has also attended his satsangs and spoken about their faith and respect for him.
However, a claim about their first visit to Premanand Maharaj’s ashram is now circulating on social media. The claim alleges that Kohli and Anushka were paid ₹5 crore to visit the ashram. There is, however, no official confirmation or credible evidence to support the allegation.
Where Did The ₹5 Crore Claim Come From?
According to ABP News, the allegation was made by Dinesh Sharma, popularly known as ‘Falahari Maharaj’. Sharma is also the president of the Shri Krishna Janmabhoomi Sangharsh Nyas.

The allegation was reportedly made in a letter addressed to the Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister. It claimed that a property builder lobby and a private company based in Rajasthan paid ₹5 crore to Kohli to bring him to Premanand Maharaj’s ashram.
Kohli and Anushka first visited the ashram in January 2023. The claim further suggested that the alleged payment was made to increase the popularity of the ashram and Premanand Maharaj.
However, no evidence has been made public to establish that any such payment was made to the couple.

Virat Kohli And Anushka’s Multiple Visits
Kohli and Anushka have returned to Premanand Maharaj’s ashram on several occasions since their first visit. They have also attended his spiritual discourses and interacted with him.
The couple’s repeated visits have also been well documented, with Kohli and Anushka publicly expressing their respect for Premanand Maharaj.
There is no official confirmation or evidence to prove the claim of a ₹5 crore payment, which is yet to be proved. There is no evidence at present to prove that Virat Kohli or Anushka Sharma were paid to visit the ashram.
