Here’s a look at Indian players who will miss the Duleep Trophy 2024
Rohit Sharma: India captain Rohit Sharma will not participate in the upcoming Duleep Trophy 2024. There were many media reports indicating that Rohit would be seen in action during the Duleep Trophy however the India skipper was rested by the BCCI.
Virat Kohli: Like Rohit, the star batter Kohli was also expected to play in the trophy but he was rested by BCCI. The right-handed batter last appeared in a red-ball match in January 2024 against South Africa in Cape Town.
Hanuma Vihari: The 30-year-old right-handed batter last represented India in July 2022 against England, and has been a big name in the domestic circuit.
Jasprit Bumrah: India's star speedster Bumrah has been out of action since playing in the final of the 2024 T20 World Cup.
Mohammed Shami: Star pacer Shami, the leading wicket-taker in the ODI World Cup last year, is still recovering from an ankle injury, which prevented him from being selected for the Duleep Trophy. However, he's expected to make a comeback next month in the Ranji Trophy, playing for Bengal.
Ravindra Jadeja: The world's No. 1 Test all-rounder, Ravindra Jadeja, was released from the India B team last week and won't play in the Duleep Trophy 2024 matches. He was initially picked for the squad last month, but the BCCI announced his release on August 27, without citing a reason.
