Vaibhav Sooryavanshi's IPL 2026 performance

Vaibhav Sooryavanshi enjoyed a dream IPL 2026 campaign, emerging as one of the tournament's biggest stars. In 16 matches, the teenage sensation piled up 776 runs, registering five half-centuries and one century while maintaining a remarkable strike rate of 237.31.

The 15-year-old also rewrote several records during the season. He became the fastest batter in IPL history to reach 1,000 career runs in terms of balls faced, getting there in just 440 deliveries and comfortably surpassing the previous record held by Andre Russell, who needed 545 balls.

Sooryavanshi also made T20 history by becoming the first batter ever to score more than 500 runs in the powerplay in a single edition of the IPL.

Another major milestone came when he surpassed Yashasvi Jaiswal's tally of 626 runs from IPL 2023 to become the highest-scoring uncapped player in a single IPL season.
