MI vs PBKS IPL 2026: Mumbai Indians have roped in Krish Bhagat as an Atharva Ankolekar replacement, who has been ruled out of the ongoing season. The Mumbai-based franchise bought this young seamer at a base price of Rs 30 lakh. Ankolekar couldn't recover well in time from the knee injury that he had sustained in the Ranji Trophy 2026.

Krish Bhagat, who plays for Punjab, can be versatile as a right-arm fast bowler and can also play as a lower-order batter. He has been participating in the MI trials for the past 2 years and represented the Reliance team in the DY Patil T20 Cup 2026.

Hailing from Jalandhar, Krish Bhagat comes from a family where sports and public service are of utmost importance, and is also the nephew of Mohinder Bhagat, MLA for Jalandhar West. He also had sustained a life-threatening spinal cord injury. But he returned to competitive action with intensive rehab.
