Delhi: A man was thrashed, his wife was allegedly molested, and their son was stripped and beaten on the street by a group of men in Delhi’s Laxmi Nagar on January 2. The Delhi Police have recovered CCTV footage of the attack and have registered a case under sections of the Bharatiya Nyaya Sanhita (BNS).
According to police reports, the main accused has been arrested, while others are on the run. The incident, which took place on January 2 between 3 and 3.30 PM, was recorded on a CCTV camera and has since gone viral, with social media users and rights activists calling for swift action and accountability from the Delhi Police.

What Led To The Brutal Assault In Delhi’s Laxmi Nagar?
According to an NDTV report, the victim, Rajesh Garg, who was thrashed during the incident, runs a gym with his wife in the basement of his house. Garg has alleged that the gym's caretaker, Satish Yadav, defrauded them in an attempt to seize control of the commercial venture, and the violence stems from a business dispute between Garg and Yadav.
The assault took place outside the victim’s residence. The victim's mother, Rita Garg, stated that the attack began without provocation when a local man, Shubham Yadav, allegedly grabbed her husband, Rajesh Garg. According to Garg, the group punched and kicked him and molested his wife. When their son came to check, the men allegedly caught hold of him, dragged him to the street, stripped him, and beat him.
Speaking to news agency ANI, Garg’s wife said, "That day, my husband and I were standing outside the house. Just then, a boy, Shubham Yadav, came and grabbed my husband. After that, he started beating my husband. His son started beating me. Vikas Yadav, Pintu Yadav, and Shubham Yadav started beating my husband."

"Before I could save my husband, they threw him to the ground near a tree and pushed me away. They kicked me in the stomach, they pulled my hair. They humiliated me so much... I ran to the police station for help. By the time these people had entered the house and dragged my son away. They stripped him of all his clothes. He was beaten naked. People were watching. My son kept pleading with folded hands... Is this less than a rape?" she added.
The Delhi Police have arrested the main accused, Satish Yadav, while three other people involved in the attack, Vikas Yadav, Shubham Yadav, and Omkar Yadav, are on the run.
"Only one arrest has been made so far. We want all the accused to be arrested and given the harshest possible punishment," Rajesh Garg added. An investigation into the matter is currently underway.
