The Delhi government is working on creating an Aadhaar data vault to secure the necessary personal information provided by people with their applications for various schemes and services. 

The government's Information Technology department is implementing this project based on the instructions and guidelines of the Unique Identification Authority of India (UIDAI).

The National Informatics Centre (NIC) has already successfully tested the vault on a staging server. A senior official stated that Aadhaar numbers are necessary for submitting online applications for various schemes and services of the Delhi government, which need to be kept secure.

The Aadhaar vault has several benefits as it ensures the security of sensitive identity data and provides high-level data security, which can prevent the misuse of Aadhaar details.
