Delhi Weather Update: The India Meteorological Department (IMD) said that following moderate rainfall on Tuesday, the city is likely to experience generally cloudy skies with shallow fog during the morning hours on Wednesday. Delhi recorded 4.2 mm of rain on Tuesday, taking the total rainfall for January to 25.3 mm and marking it as the wettest January in the past four years.

The maximum temperature is likely to range between 17 and 19 degrees Celsius, while the minimum may hover around 11 to 13 degrees Celsius. Noida is likely to experience fog or mist in the early morning hours, while Gurugram may see a largely clear sky on January 28. Meanwhile, the air quality in the national capital remained in the poor category, with the AQI recorded at 273 at 8 am, according to the CPCB. When 

Will It Rain In Delhi-NCR Again? 

According to the IMD forecast, Delhi-NCR is set to receive rain again on February 1, with generally cloudy skies and one or two spells of rain accompanied by thunderstorms, lightning and gusty winds of 30-40 kmph. Gurugram is also likely to witness partly cloudy conditions with one or two spells of rain or thunderstorms on February 1 and 2. Meanwhile, Noida is expected to see generally cloudy skies with light rain on February 2.

Delhi Weather Forecast 

January 28-30, 2026: Day temperatures between 17-20 degree celsius and night temperatures 7-13 degree celsius. Skies are generally cloudy to partly cloudy with shallow to moderate fog during morning hours. Light northerly to northwesterly winds at 5-10 kmph.

January 31, 2026: Day temperature around 19-21 degree celsius and night temperature 5-7 degree celsius. Mostly cloudy conditions with morning fog. Winds mainly from the northeast, light to moderate.

February 1, 2026: Day temperatures 18-20 degree celsius and night temperatures 11-13 degree celsius. Generally cloudy sky with light northeasterly to northerly winds.

February 2, 2026: Slight rise in temperatures with day highs of 21-23 degree celsius and night lows of 12-14 degree celsius. Partly to generally cloudy sky, shallow to moderate morning fog, and one or two spells of light rain with thunderstorm/lightning and gusty winds (30-40 kmph).

Delhi Air Pollution (AQI)

The air quality showed a marginal improvement, but several key monitoring stations across the city continued to record AQI levels in the ‘very poor’ category. Anand Vihar registered an AQI of 362, followed by Chandni Chowk at 340, Bawana at 332, Ashok Vihar at 323, Mundka at 323 and Dwarka Sector 8 at 317.

Meanwhile, rain lashed several parts of the Delhi-NCR on Tuesday, accompanied by thunderstorms and gusty winds. Light rainfall was reported in parts of Delhi during the morning hours. Palam received 3.4 mm of rain, Ridge 3.0 mm and Pitampura 2.0 mm between 8.30 am and 11.30 am, according to official data. The temperature dipped to 3.6 degrees Celsius, leaving residents shivering across the city.
