Over 3 lakh students await the Class 12 HS Assam board result. Last year, a total of 3,02,420 students had registered for their Assam board HS exams in the science, arts, commerce and vocational streams.

The AHSEC Arts stream had the highest (2,30,091) number of students, followed by science with 57,724 students, commerce with 17,869, and vocational education with 1,241 students.

The education minister of the state, Ranoj Pegu has shared a list of official websites to check the result. He has also said the result links will be made active at 10.30 am.

The Assam HS Result 2026 will be declared today, April 28, 2026. The press conference to announce the result will begin in the next half an hour. The result will be announced by the State’s Education Minister.

The Assam HS digital marksheet is set to be available on DigiLocker. Students can log in and securely download their marksheets once the link is activated, which are valid for admission and official purposes.

Students must score at least 33 per cent marks to pass the Class 12th examination. In any case, students fail, so they have an opportunity to appear for the compartment examinations.

The Assam Higher Secondary Education Council (AHSEC) will release the Assam HS Result 2026 today, April 28, 2026, at the official website. Follow these steps to check the Assam HS Result 2026 via SMS:

1. Open the SMS application on your mobile phone

2. Type the message in the prescribed format (to be announced by AHSEC)

3. Send the SMS to the official number provided by the board

Results for the Science, Commerce, and Arts streams will be announced simultaneously. Unlike some previous years, when results were declared stream-wise, AHSEC has opted for a combined declaration this year. The board will hold an official press conference to announce the results.

In addition to the official websites of AHSEC, results will also be available through third-party portals and the mobile application ‘UPOLOBDHA’. Candidates are advised to download the app from the Play Store before the results are released.

Arts Stream: Recorded a pass percentage of 88.24% in 2024, a major rebound from 70.12% in 2023. In 2025, the rate settled at 81.03%.

Science Stream: Consistently the highest-performing major stream, reaching 90.29% in 2024 and 84.88% in 2025.

Commerce Stream: Achieved 88.28% in 2024 and 82.18% in 2025.

Vocational Stream: Achieved 85.78% in 2024 and 68.55% in 2025.

A total of 61,568 candidates sat for the Science section. Of these, 34,801 were students, 26,766 were female and one was a third gender candidate. A total of 19,806 candidates sat for the Commerce section. Of these, 13,782 are male and 6,024 are female.

A Higher Secondary examination candidate from Sonari has gone missing. The missing candidate, Ujan Langpia, hails from Keshav Konwar. Keshav Konwar is a student of Sonari BPP Higher Secondary School. The student's bicycle, jacket, and sandals were recovered from the 'Do-munhe Dalong' area in Miripathar.

The Assam State School Education Board (ASSEB) will announce the Assam Board Class 12 results on April 28, confirmed Chief Minister Himanta Biswa Sarma.

State Education Minister Ranoj Pegu later clarified the schedule, stating that the results will be released at 7:30 am, with scorecards available by 10 AM.
