School Bomb Threats: A series of bomb threats targeting prominent private schools in Chandigarh and Gurugram on Wednesday morning caused widespread panic and triggered a security alert. Several institutions received threatening emails, prompting a swift and large-scale response from the police, bomb disposal squads, and disaster response teams.
A few schools in Chandigarh were evacuated after they received bomb threat emails on Wednesday, said police. Policemen reached the school premises and were conducting thorough searches of the educational institutes, they further said. Students and staff have been evacuated, they said, adding that security was stepped up around the schools.
Which Gurugram Schools Received Bomb Threats Today?
Earlier today, at least six private schools in Gurugram received bomb threats through emails on Wednesday morning, said police.
The school management, police department, and district administration are on alert after receiving the email threatening to bomb the schools, they added.

As per the Gurugram police and district administration, the following institutions received the threat emails around 7:10 AM:
According to the police, a search operation has been launched in all six schools, and students were also being evacuated from the school premises. Police teams and bomb squads are on the campuses along with sniffer dogs.
Six private schools in Gurugram that have received threats are Kunsakpalan School in DLF Phase-1, Lancers School in Sector-53, Heritage Experiential Learning School in Sector-62 & 64, Shiv Nadar School DLF Phase-1, Shri Ram Aravali School and Pathway World School near Badshahpur, said the police.

"Earlier this morning, Heritage Xperiential Learning School, Sector 62, Gurugram, received a security-related alert indicating a potential bomb threat.
In line with established safety protocols, the school administration immediately informed local authorities and activated all emergency response procedures. As a precautionary measure, on-campus operations for the day were suspended. The safety and well-being of students, staff, and the school community remain the school’s highest priority.
Security agencies conducted a thorough inspection of the campus, following which official security clearance was issued, confirming that the alert was a hoax and that no threat was found. No suspicious object was detected, and the campus has been declared safe by the authorities.
Official statement from Heritage Xperiential Learning School - Sector 64
"Heritage Xperiential Learning School would like to clarify that no security threat was received at its Sector 64 campus.
The security alert reported earlier today was limited solely to the Sector 62 campus. Sector 64 remained fully secure, and no evacuation or suspension of operations was required at this campus.
As a precautionary measure, internal safety checks were conducted, and the campus continued to function normally in accordance with established safety protocols."
What Action Has Been Taken?
Upon receiving the information, police teams immediately reached the spots, and security protocols were activated. The State Disaster Response Force (SDRF) has also been called in to assist with the thorough search.
Many of the affected schools declared a holiday and suspended bus services. Parents were asked to collect their children from bus stops or the school gates as the combing process is time-consuming. The Cyber Crime unit is currently tracing the origin and IP address of the sender.
A senior police officer said that although no suspicious objects have been found, the police and administration are closely monitoring the situation.
