-Chartered Accountant (CA) toppers are hired by major companies and audit firms. The four major firms, Deloitte, PwC, KPMG, and Ernst & Young, call top rankers for prime hiring.

-Finance and accounting head roles are open to them at companies like Reliance, Tata, HUL, ITC, and L&T.

-In the banking sector, banks like ICICI, HDFC, Exis, and SBI also offer priority positions to top rankers.

-Top rankers are also often selected for CFO or financial controller roles at major consulting and tech companies.

CA-CS Topper Salary: Where do CSs find jobs?

-Company Secretary (CS) toppers find opportunities in corporate law, compliance, and board-level roles.

-In large corporate companies like Tata, Reliance, HUL, and ITC, CS toppers handle board meetings, corporate governance, and legal functions.

-They are also selected for legal and regulatory firms, where expertise in company law and SEBI or ROC-related work is required.

-CS toppers are also given priority for compliance and corporate official roles in the banking and financial sector.

CA-CS Topper Salary: CA-CS Topper Salary Variation

CA toppers in India typically start with an account salary of 15-25 lakh rupees. If someone passes in a single attempt, their salary ranges from 11-15 lakh rupees per annum. CS toppers' starting salaries are slightly lower, ranging from 6-12 lakh rupees per annum. CA freshers in smaller companies can earn 5-8 lakh rupees per annum. As experience increases, the salaries of both CAs and CSs increase.

In the first 5-10 years, CAs can earn up to 20-30 lakh rupees per annum, while CSs can reach 12-20 lakh rupees. After 10-20 years of work, CAs can earn 30-50 lakh rupees per annum, and in top-level roles, 50-70 lakh rupees or even more. Similarly, CSs can earn 20-35 lakh rupees by this time. Top-level roles can reach 40-50 lakh rupees per annum. However, this also depends on the sector and company.
