Among the top-scoring subjects, Painting has emerged as the top with 15,334 students securing a perfect 100 out of 100 marks. In second position is Artificial Intelligence with 3,326 students achieving full marks. These stats highlighted the strong academic performance in skill-based subjects in the CBSE Class 12th result 2026. 

To avoid unhealthy competition, CBSE does not release the merit list along with the results. Moreover, it does not award first, second, or third divisions to its students.

The relevant stats are coming in after the CBSE Class 12th results are declared. 1,63,800 students (9.26%) have been placed under the compartment category. Eligible students must apply through the official website. 

Kendriya Vidyalayas (KV) lead with 98.55%, followed by Jawahar Navodaya Vidyalayas (JNV) with 98.47%.

In the CBSE Class 12th results 2026, girls have outdone boys in the pass percentage. 88.86% girl candidates have passed the exam, compared to boys, who recorded an overall pass rate 82.13 %.

The results are out now, with an overall pass percentage at 85.20%. This is slightly lower than the previous year, which recorded  88.39%.

Once the CBSE Class 12th results 2026 are announced, candidates who are not satisfied with their marks can request a re-evaluation process. The Board will provide details regarding re evaluation and re-checking process through its official portal after the results are announced.

By entering their CBSE roll number and school code, students can listen to their marks for each subject directly on their phones. This system has been designed specifically for students in areas with limited internet connectivity, aiming to facilitate easy access to their results.

CBSE introduced the On-Screen Marking system this year for digital evaluation of Class 12 answer sheets, aiming to reduce manual errors and accelerate result preparation. The Class 12 exams were conducted from February 17 to April 10, 2026.
