KKM Government Medical College:  Kerala Health Minister K Muraleedharan shared that the Union Health Minister, J P Nadda, has given the in-principle approval to start admissions to 100 MBBS seats at the K Karunakaran Memorial Government Medical College from the next academic year. The decision came after a long waiting period. Furthermore, the minister was also assured that an AIIMS would be sanctioned for  Kerala, Muraleedharan said.

In a Facebook post shared by Mr Muraleedharan, Mr Nadda termed it as “criminal negligence” that despite building and infrastructure worth hundreds of crores having been completed almost 10 years ago, the medical college remained non-functional.
