Tomorrow School Holiday: The Chandigarh administration has officially extended the winter break for all schools in the Union Territory. This decision comes as a response to the persistent cold wave and dense fog currently gripping the region. Fog and cold continue to plague the area. Keeping children's health in mind, the administration has extended the school holidays until January 17th. Schools were originally scheduled to reopen on January 14th.

Priority on Student Health Amid Dropping Temperatures

The administration stated that children are likely to fall ill due to the extreme cold and dropping temperatures in the morning. This decision was taken with this in mind. The order applies to both government and private schools.

Will Schools Reopen After the Current Deadline?

The administration has appealed to parents to take necessary precautions to protect their children from the cold. Further decisions will be made after reviewing the weather conditions, if necessary. According to a previous order, schools were originally scheduled to reopen on January 14th, but they will not reopen now.
