CUET UG, PG 2025 Exam: The Common University Entrance Test (CUET) for undergraduate and postgraduate admissions is set to see significant changes in its 2025 edition, following a review by an expert panel, according to University Grants Commission (UGC) Chairman Jagadesh Kumar. The UGC had formed an expert committee to review the conduct of CUET-UG and CUET-PG, aiming to improve the exam process.
"Based on feedback from past years, it is also essential to continuously improve the examination process to provide a better, more efficient, and conducive environment for students taking CUET. In this spirit, the UGC has constituted an expert committee to review the conduct of CUET-UG and CUET-PG for 2025," Kumar said, as reported by news agency PTI.
The committee examined various aspects, including test structure, the number of papers, test duration, syllabus alignment, and operational logistics. These recommendations were considered during a recent UGC meeting, Kumar added.
The UGC plans to release a draft proposal soon, outlining revised guidelines for CUET-UG and CUET-PG 2025. Feedback and suggestions will be invited from students, parents, teachers, and institutions to finalise the updates.
In the first edition of CUET-UG in 2022 faced several challenges, including technical glitches. Also, as a result of tests for a subject being conducted over multiple shifts, the scores had to be normalised during the announcement of results.
In 2024, the exam was conducted in hybrid mode for the first time but faced logistical issues. It was cancelled across Delhi just a night before it was scheduled to be held.
