Delhi School Holiday Tomorrow: The India Meteorological Department (IMD) has predicted that during the day, Delhi may experience scattered thunderstorms with slight chances of rain on August 7, 2026. Besides the weather forecast, the authorities have not announced any holiday for colleges, schools, and anganwadi centres tomorrow. Depending on the day-to-day weather conditions, waterlogging problems, and traffic adversities in affected areas, the local authorities will take necessary measures to announce school closures further. Students and parents are urged to be in contact with their respective schools to stay informed about any school closure updates.

No Statewide School Closures Yet
As of now, the state government has not announced any state-wide school holiday on August 7, 2026. All schools and colleges, including government and private, will run normally according to the curriculum. If weather conditions deteriorate, local administration of the affected areas will take necessary measures to close schools and colleges.
Ghaziabad Schools Remain Closed Till August 12 Due To Kanwar Yatra
Earlier, the district administration had ordered all schools and colleges of Ghaziabad to remain closed from August 4 through August 12, 2026, due to heavy influx of pilgrims and traffic restrictions during the Kanwar Yatra. The order applies to classes from Nursery to Class 12, degree colleges, universities, and technical institutes across all boards.
What Parents And Students Must Do?
Students and parents are advised to diligently monitor the official district administration, following the IMD alerts. Even though there is no school holiday in Delhi-NCR on August 7, unprecedented rain and risk of waterlogging may lead to district-specific decisions to close schools later in the day.
