GATE 2026 Objection Window: The Indian Institute of Technology, Guwahati (IIT-G) has opened the GATE 2026 answer key objection window. Candidates who applied for the Graduate Aptitude Test in Engineering (GATE) can check the provisional answer key and submit challenges through the official GOAPS portal.

Candidates who are dissatisfied with the responses published by the authorities may submit their challenges via the GOAPS portal, goaps.iitg.ac.in, by the last date, i.e., February 28, 2026, with valid arguments, supporting documents, and the required fee. 

The GATE 2026 results will be officially announced on March 19, 2026. Candidates can check their scores, All India Rank (AIR), and download the scorecard via the official GOAPS portal (gate2026.iitg.ac.in) using their enrollment ID/email address and password.

Steps To Challenge the GATE 2026 Answer Key:

Candidates can follow the steps below to raise objections.

Step 1: Visit the GOAPS portal: goaps.iitg.ac.in/login.

Step 2:  Enter the enrollment ID and password and solve the captcha code.

Step 3:  Click on the submit button.

Step 4:  Look for and click on the GATE 2026 answer key PDF.

Step 5:  Select the question you wish to challenge.

Step 6:  Provide valid arguments and upload the supporting documents.

Step 7:  Pay the required fee and submit the form.

GATE 2026: What's Next After the Objection Window Closes?

After the objection window closes, subject experts will examine the objections raised by candidates. If any of the arguments are found to be correct, a revised answer key will be released, based on which the GATE 2026 results will be declared.

Note: Candidates should note that the revised answer key will be final, and no objections will be entertained against it.
