HPBOSE Registration 2026: The Himachal Pradesh Board of School Education (HPBOSE) has amended the rules for conducting examinations so that students will now register in Class 9 and Class 11 instead of registering directly in Class 10 and Class 12. This change is made through an amendment to Rule 18.1 of Chapter 18 of the Examination Regulations, 1994. The intention behind making this amendment is to reduce the technical and administrative problems that arise during the board examinations.

According to the amendment, registration in Class 9th will remain valid till the student successfully passes their Class 10th Matriculation Examination, while registration in Class 11th will remain valid till they successfully pass the Class 12th Senior Secondary examination. Students coming from other boards and universities to register themselves in Class 10th or 12th as fresh candidates will have to apply to HPBOSE. Schools and institutions affiliated to HPBOSE are directed to complete the registration process by October 15, 2026, without any late fees.

How To Register For The HP Board 2026 For Classes 9 And 11?

1. Go to hpbose.org on your desktop or mobile browser to visit the HP Board portal.

2. Click the "School Login / Online Registration" link available in the navigation panel on the homepage.

3. Log in to the HP Board system using the School Usercode and Password assigned by HP Board.

4. Click the link to register candidates for Class 9 or Class 11 according to your choice.

5. Input demographics, academic details, and subjects for each student enrolled in the institution.

6. Make the online payment of Rs 200 per candidate before October 15, 2026.
