KVS Class 1 Lottery Result 2026 PDF Download: The Kendriya Vidyalaya Sangathan (KVS) has released the third provisional admission list for Class 1 today, April 21, 2026. Candidates can check the list via the direct link. It is worth noting that this list has been released to fill the seats that remained vacant following the first and second rounds of counseling. You can check the list by visiting the official KVS websites: kvsangathan.nic.in or admission.kvs.gov.in.
This list represents the sole opportunity for many to secure admission into these prestigious Central Government schools. The provisions of the Right to Education (RTE) Act and the established priority categories remain the exclusive basis for the selection process, ensuring that the allocation of remaining seats across the numerous branches spread across the country is conducted in a manner that is entirely transparent and merit-based.
Shortlisted candidates are now required to take immediate steps regarding admission, as very little time remains to complete the necessary formalities. Parents must promptly visit their allotted school for document verification, bringing along essential original documents such as the child's birth certificate, proof of residence, and, if applicable, any category-specific certificates.
How to Check the KVS Third Admission List 2026?
Parents can check their child's selection status using the following three methods:

How Does the KVS Lottery System Work?
Admissions to Balvatika and Class 1 in Kendriya Vidyalayas are conducted through a computerized lottery system, designed to ensure transparency and fairness. This year, the process unfolded as follows:
Categorization: After registrations closed on April 2nd, applications were segregated based on categories such as RTE, Service Priority, and Reserved Quotas.
Random Draw: A computerized lottery randomly selected candidates from each category.
Declaration of Results: The system generated provisional selection lists and waiting lists, which were published on the dates mentioned above.
For upper classes (Class 2 onwards), admissions are conducted offline (subject to the availability of vacancies), and the lists for these classes are announced separately. Meanwhile, admissions for Class 11 will commence following the declaration of the CBSE Class 10 results.
What to do if your name does not appear on the list?
The third list is generally the final provisional list issued for Class 1 admissions. Subsequent admissions are conducted only if vacancies remain in specific categories, such as SC, ST, or OBC-NCL. In such instances, schools may invite offline applications between April 22 and April 26, 2026.
Failure to complete the process on time will lead to cancellation of the seat, which will then be offered to waitlisted candidates in subsequent lists. Parents are advised to check their respective school's notice board or website immediately for the exact deadline, as delays may not be accommodated.
