Out of a total of 88,290 candidates who appeared in the Math and Science category, 33,525 qualified, resulting in a pass rate of 37.97 per cent.

The AP TET 2024 exams were conducted statewide from October 3 to 21, 2024. This exam, a key requirement for various teaching positions, was held in two sessions each day: from 9:30 am to 12 pm and from 2:30 pm to 5 pm.

In total, 4,27,300 candidates applied for the AP TET July examination for both Paper 1 and Paper 2. Out of these, 3,68,661 candidates appeared for the exam, resulting in an attendance rate of 86.28 per cent. Among those who took the exam, 1,87,256 candidates, or 50.79 per cent, successfully passed.

To qualify for the AP TET exam, candidates must achieve the category-wise passing marks set by the authorities. According to the notification, the criteria for passing marks are as follows:

- OC: 60 per cent marks and above
- BC: 50 per cent marks and above
- SC/ST/Differently Abled (PH) & Ex-Servicemen: 40 per cent marks and above
