NEET UG 2026 Success Story: The National Testing Agency, on Thursday, announced the NEET UG result 2026 along with the topper list. With 11.21 lakh candidates qualifying for admission to UG medical, dental, AYUSH, and allied programmes, this year, 19 aspirants secured above 700 marks out of 720. Showing exemplary performance, Arya Gupta from Punjab and Panshul Bansal from Haryana have emerged as the highest scorers in the country, securing Joint All India Rank (AIR) 1 with an impressive score of 715 out of 720 marks. Panshul has also scored 99.5 percentile in JEE Mains. Interestingly, he decided at a very young age that he wanted to become a doctor and therefore chose NEET.

Panshul Gupta Got 715 Marks Out Of 720
Sharing AIR 1, Panshul Gupta from Haryana also achieved the remarkable feat of becoming the NEET UG Topper 2026. Not only did he top NEET, but he also scored 99.5 percentile in the JEE Mains examination 2026. But having a clear goal of pursuing medicine, he focused all his energy on the NEET UG entrance examination 2026. Being a meritorious student, he scored 94 percent in both Classes 10th and 12th.
Discussing his preparation strategies, he said that daily tests improved his NEET preparation and made him realise he could crack NEET UG 2026. Consistency was something that he never compromised in this journey.
“I should not study for 10 hours, and then not study at all the next day. I should divide it in 5 hours every day,” he said.
Aryan Gupta Secured AIR 1
Hailing from Ludhiana, Punjab, Aryan Gupta topped NEET UG 2026 with 715 marks this year. Coming from a family of doctors, he credits his success to his brother and family. Throughout his academic journey until NEET, he has been consistent. He has appeared for the Olympiad since 2019, when he was in Class 9. He started his NEET preparation diligently when he entered Class 11. His dedication and focus on studies made this feat a reality. Balancing study and normal routine, he believes that proper sleep, rest, and adequate breaks are important to ensure good mental and physical health.
Interacting with the media, he said, “My teachers and coaching institute played a crucial role, but ultimately it is about using your time wisely. During the peak of my preparation, I studied for 16-17 hours a day, but I also made sure to take breaks. I watched Netflix and used social media to relax.”
NEET UG 2026: State Toppers
NTA has also categorically mentioned NEET toppers along with the results on Thursday. The result also reflected a strong representation of female candidates, who accounted for more than 58% of successful candidates this year.
