NTA NEET-UG Exam 2026: Union Education Minister Dharmendra Pradhan on Sunday expressed confidence in the smooth conduct of the NEET-UG 2026 re-examination, saying that nearly 22 lakh candidates are appearing for the test with the support of the National Testing Agency (NTA), state governments, district administrations, and the country's education system. He urged students to sit for the examination without fear or anxiety and wished them success.

 

Pradhan said students have faith in India's system and appealed to everyone to ensure that this trust remains intact. Speaking as a parent and social worker, he urged people not to do anything that could affect children's mental well-being or jeopardise the future of the country's younger generation. He also assured that no disruption would be allowed in matters concerning students and announced that the remaining CBSE results would be declared soon.

Pradhan Expresses Confidence in NEET UG Re-Examination

The Education Minister said he has complete faith in the NTA, state governments, district administrations and India's students. Nearly 22 lakh candidates are taking the NEET-UG re-examination, which is being conducted amid heightened security arrangements across the country.

Appeals to People Not to Affect Students' Mental Health

Without naming anyone, Pradhan criticised certain "so-called responsible people" for their conduct during the controversy. He said some individuals had acted with ulterior motives and appealed to citizens and public representatives to act responsibly and avoid causing hardship to students.

Remaining CBSE Results to Be Released Soon

Pradhan said that results for around 15.5 lakh of the 17 lakh CBSE students have already been declared. He added that the process of re-evaluation, re-assessment and re-verification is almost complete and the remaining results will be published shortly.

'We Will Not Allow Any Disruption to Children'

Reiterating the government's commitment to students, the minister assured that no disruption affecting children would be allowed. He said safeguarding students' future remains the government's priority and promised continued support to ensure a smooth academic process.
