IIT Madras GATE 2027: The Indian Institute of Technology (IIT) Madras has extended the GATE 2027 registration deadline. Candidates can now submit their applications without a late fee till October 5, 2026. The extension follows requests from applicants seeking additional time to complete registration.
Candidates who miss the revised deadline can submit their applications with a late fee till October 12, 2026. The application correction window will open from October 14 to October 21, 2026, according to the revised schedule.
GATE 2027 Registration: Important Dates
As per the revised schedule, candidates have additional time to complete the GATE 2027 registration process. The last date to apply without a late fee is October 5, while applications with a late fee will be accepted till October 12.
After the registration process concludes, the correction window will be available from October 14 to October 21, 2026. Candidates should complete their forms carefully and check all information before submission.
GATE 2027 Application: Documents Required
In addition to filling out the application, candidates for GATE 2027 must provide the necessary paperwork. A passport-sized photo, a signature, evidence of identity, and pertinent eligibility paperwork are a few examples of these.
While eligible PwD candidates must present the relevant PwD certificate, candidates in restricted categories may also need to upload their category certificate. Candidates should make sure that the data and supporting materials they submit on the application form are correct and adhere to the requirements.
GATE 2027 Registration: Steps To Apply
Once the registration link becomes active today, candidates can fill out their application form using the steps given below.
Step 1: Visit the official website at gate2027.iitm.ac.in.
Step 2: Click on the GOAPS portal link.
Step 3: Enter your basic details to register and create your enrollment ID and password.
Step 4: Log in using the above credentials and fill in your personal, educational, and communication details.
Step 5: Provide facial details during registration for verification.
Step 6: Upload documents in the prescribed format and size.
Step 7: Pay the fee and submit the form after verifying all details thoroughly.

GATE 2027 Application Fee
Category-wise application fee is given below.

The registration fee is non-refundable and must be paid via online payment modes such as Credit/Debit/UPI/etc. Only after successful completion of the payment process, candidates’ application form will be processed.
Applicants are advised to complete the registration process at the earliest instead of waiting until the final date. Any required corrections should also be made during the designated correction window.
