CBSE Board 10th Topper Nandika Gupta: Nandika Gupta, a class 10 student from Bhopal, Madhya Pradesh, had already achieved a remarkable 99.6 per cent in her 2026 board exams. She chose to have her answer sheet re-evaluated because she wasn't entirely happy with her score and thought that some marks might have been wrongly deducted.
Nandika examined her answers after getting a copy of her answer sheet and found problems in science and English. She believed that the grades given did not accurately reflect the marking system. She requested a reevaluation after talking with her teacher about the issue. She received two more points for her corrected result, bringing her total score to a flawless 100 per cent.
Nandika Gupta Gets Answer Sheet After 99.6% Score:
Nandika Gupta, a resident of Bhopal, appeared for the CBSE Class 10 board examinations 2026. According to a Times of India report, the result of the second board examination was declared in August, with Nandika securing 99.6 per cent.
However, she strongly believed that her performance could have earned her a higher score. She therefore applied for a copy of her answer sheet and checked the evaluation herself.
Student Spots Issues In English And Science Marks:
While reviewing the answer sheet, Nandika noticed that marks had been deducted for an English multiple-choice question. She also felt that the marks awarded in Science did not correspond with the prescribed marking scheme: 'I deserved more marks' as compared to what I got.
For a student who had already scored 99.6 per cent, checking the answer sheet in detail required her to compare her responses with the applicable marking criteria carefully. Her review led her to believe that the evaluation required reconsideration.
Re-evaluation Adds One Mark In Each Subject:
Nandika requested a re-evaluation after talking to her teacher about her worries. She was given an extra mark in both science and English when the updated results were announced in September.
She received a flawless score in the CBSE Class 10 exam thanks to the two extra points, which raised her overall score from 99.6 per cent to 100 per cent.

Nandika Chooses Humanities In Class 11:
Following her Class 10 results in 2026, she has opted for the Humanities stream in Class 11. Her revised score places her among the students from Madhya Pradesh who achieved a perfect 100 per cent in the CBSE Class 10 examinations this year.
Her experience also highlights the importance of students carefully reviewing their evaluated answer sheets when they believe that the marks awarded do not correspond with their answers or the applicable marking scheme.
